This comprehensive training package in cognitive-behavioural therapy for eating disorders (CBT-ED) is just what you need to be able to work competently and effectively with patients with eating disorders. Its six modules consist of theory- and practice-based explanations, illustrated by demonstrations of experience- and evidence-based skills. The course takes you through the treatment levels and skills that are needed to work effectively, even with complex cases. The course draws on manualised treatments, but also brings in the team’s extraordinarily extensive levels of clinical skills, empathy and ability to adapt therapy to the individual patient’s needs. There are elements here from different models of CBT-ED, allowing the clinician to plan and deliver treatment that is clearly justified based on the individual patient’s needs, and that is easy to deliver with the support provided.
And there is more. Not only the promise of updates as the field develops, but also the opportunity to engage in supervision, to ensure that the training component is supported in your practice.
This is the course that was not there when people like me needed it, many years ago. I encourage you to join up to develop your clinical skills in delivering effective CBT-ED, and get ahead of the game clinically.
