This kit is designed with the same care I bring to my clients—grounded in evidence, wrapped in warmth, and created to ease the challenges of recovery. It's something tangible—a bridge between therapy sessions and taking action at home, available whenever you need it."

Nourishment is a cornerstone of recovery, but food can often be tied to anxiety and discomfort. The award-winning granola and oats have been lovingly packed and locally harvested by Western Australian farmers, Merre.   The oats and granola are included to support regular, balanced eating habits while reducing the stress of making decisions about what to eat. With a mix of textures and flavours, it gently nurtures a positive relationship with food. Whether enjoyed as breakfast, a snack, or a way to reconnect with your hunger cues, the wholesome and delicious food is a reminder that nourishment can be simple and satisfying.

It’s common to feel full, bloated, or experience stomach discomfort as you begin changing your eating habits. These sensations can last for weeks or months but will ease as you re-nourish your body. This premium Australian-made clay heat pack by the Hottle offers soothing warmth to bring comfort during moments of distress.  It can be used during a challenging meal, after a therapy session, or as part of your self-care routine.   Unlike traditional heat packs, the Hottle is designed to be worn, offering a hands-free solution for managing pain relief and a super soft.  Eating disorders affect people in all body sizes and we love that The Hottle has been thoughtfully designed to fit a large range of body sizes.  Kit includes two clay packs – can be heated and also frozen.

Managing anxiety is one of the biggest challenges early in recovery. As you make changes, anxiety may increase, and finding ways to manage it is key. Fidgeting and sensory engagement have been clinically linked to stress relief, especially during moments of overwhelm. This high-quality putty provides a discreet, portable way to manage distress through touch. It helps regulate the nervous system, redirect intrusive thoughts, and create a grounding experience. Whether used before a meal, during moments of distress or during therapy sessions, this putty offers an effective tool to stay present.

The educational cards are designed to provide clear, evidence-based information about eating disorders. They help reinforce key concepts, making it easier to remember important strategies between sessions. These cards offer reliable guidance, ensuring you have the right tools and knowledge to support your recovery. By reading them as needed, you’ll stay grounded and focused on your goals, empowering you to use the kit’s resources effectively, even during challenging moments.

  • Waitlists – Send a recovery kit to clients who have been referred but are on a waitlist.
  • Engagement – Ask clients to pick up a kit from your clinic. e.g., in regional areas, or to align with medical reviews – improves engagement with physical monitoring. For inpatient units, the kits can improve engagement in the early stage of an admission.
  • Education – learn about eating disorders.
  • Supporting tool for evidence-based treatments, such as family-based treatment, and cognitive behavioural therapy. Clients can use content in sessions or purchase a kit for home to support the work between sessions.

  • Virtual care consultations: a great tool for connecting remote clients to recovery tools they can touch and see.

Looking ahead, we aim to expand these kits, tailoring options for different stages of recovery and broader mental health needs.  We hope to see the kits integrated into clinical practices outside our clinic – such as offering the recovery kits to individuals commencing treatments or when they are discharged from hospital.  Our focus is on bridging the gap between evidence-based treatments and home. This initiative isn’t just about a box—it’s about ensuring recovery feels supported, every step of the way.

Our kits are made possible by incredible Australian partners.
